Everybody has different requirements for their upper limb prosthesis. At Beast Prosthetics our prosthetists are able to work with you to find the best solution to your needs. We are able to use a wide range of manufacturers giving you even greater choice of the different hands or attachments available.

Hands

There is a large range of hand types available to upper limb prosthetic users which will provide different functions. Different types of hands available include:

• Passive hands - these are primarily cosmetic and do not provide any grip or additional hand control
• Conventional hands - this type of hand utilises cable attachments to perform simple tasks such as opening and closing
• Myoelectric hands - myoelectrics use electrical signals from your muscles to activate motors. You work with the device by activated your muscles to instruct the device to work.

Whether you play golf and need to hold your clubs, do yoga and want to complete different balances or enjoy taking care of your garden we are able to source an attachment for you.
